Genially & Google Classroom: A Complete Integration
When we talk about Google, we’re not just talking about a search engine or web browser. We’re talking about an ecosystem, a suite of tools that’s revolutionizing the way we work, teach, interact, play, store memories and organize our time.
You might see Google more than you see your friends and family. How many times have you opened your browser to find it as your home page?
Up until now, we’ve had a really close relationship with Google at Genially, even sharing our first initial 😉 You could insert huge amounts of content into Genially from Google’s tools. Here are some of the most popular ways Google’s tools have worked with Genially in the past, along with a link to the tutorial of how to make each integration happen:
- Embed a video from Google Drive
- Embed a Google Calendar in Genially
- Insert a Google Form in a window or tooltip
- Embed a Youtube video onto the canvas or in a window or tooltip
- Insert a Google Map
- Insert a Google Street View
- Embed a graph from Google Sheets
But now, we’ve taken the next step in our relationship. Genially and Google have come even closer together this time with the goal of making your work easier.
You were already able to sign up for and into Genially (single sign on) with your Gmail account. This allowed you to save on one more password and have everything integrated. You’ll find this option on the sign-up page of Genially:
Until now, our integration allowed us to register and embed content from Google in Genially, as we just saw. But now, you can share your Genially creations on Google Classroom. You’ll be able to share your interactive content directly from Genially.
How? Let us explain.
Sharing your genially on Google Classroom
From the Panel of your Genially, all you need to do is choose the creation you want to share once it’s ready and published. Click on the share icon that appears when you hover over your creation. A window will appear with 5 options for sharing: link, insert, send via email, social networks and others. Click on “Others”. There, you’ll find the option to share directly on Google Classroom. Once you’ve chosen this option, you’ll be asked to choose which class you want to share with.
Another way to share your geniallys on Google Classroom starts from Genially’s Editor. Once you’ve finished creating, click on “All Set” and share your creation (option in the upper-right-hand corner). The same window as described above will appear. From that point on, follow the same steps outlined in our last explanation and choose the class you want to share your creation with. It’s that easy!
We hope this integration makes you more efficient with your work and that you can use the two tools together each and every day to achieve stunning results. We promise to keep putting in the work so that Genially’s relationship with Google continues to grow, making other features and integrations increasingly simple for you to use and take advantage of.
Leave us a comment to tell us what other features would make your job easier, and don’t forget to follow us on social media!
All the best from the Genially Team!
