GENIALLY AT ISTE PHILADELPHIA 2019

GENIALLY AT ISTE PHILADELPHIA 2019

Philadelphia is a great city to visit and learn about American history: it is the city where the Declaration of Independence was signed and home to the Liberty Bell. Also iconic are the steps of the Museum of Art, immortalized by Rocky’s final run in the movie… But this summer there was one more good reason to make a stop in Philly: ISTE!

For those of you who are not familiar, ISTE is a nonprofit organization that serves educators interested in the use of technology. It stands for International Society for Technology in Education and their annual conference is one of the most influential events in the Edtech world.

Genially didn’t want to miss it. How could we? We signed up. We got ready. The team packed their things and flew to Philadelphia with their best smiles and unlimited energy to share about our content creation tool with the world.

ISTE PHILADELPHIA HIGHLIGHTS FOR GENIALLY

And we had a blast! Teachers, librarians, tech coordinators… they all wanted to know more about our editor and how they could create stunning learning resources for their students. We had a team of four people answering questions and doing live demos nonstop 🙂

“YOU were a highlight of my ISTE experience, Genially! I’m really looking forward working with you and watching you soar! Congratulations on your first ISTE of many… you are a hit!” –wrote Kathi Kersznowski, tech integration expert, global presenter and keynote speaker. Pictured above.

Genially also made it to the big screen. TWICE! Two different sessions, and two educators genuinely in love with Genially sharing their knowledge with their peers. The sessions are listed below.

  • Best Websites for Teaching and Learning: 2019 Release. By Sherry Gick.
  • How to flip your classroom without Screencasting your face. Discover digital tools that will allow you to teach your content and assess student understanding using videos, infographics, and webpages, without losing the creativity and art of teaching. By Kristina Ulmer.

Of course it didn’t take long until word got out that Genially had a booth at ISTE. Which resulted in an amazing Twitter celebration. Many of the teachers who couldn’t join us in person were able to connect with us on social media and enjoy the event. If you are not following us, you should! We will take you places 🙂 @genially_en is our handle!
